How to uninstall CGoban3?
You can uninstall the client program CGoban from the java web start aplet viewer. To launch that viewer for windows users, do as explained below:
For java 5 users :
For instance with java version 1.5.0_06 (if you have another version, the number will be slightly different but the method is still right):
- You'll find it under program files ===> java ====> jre1.5.0_06 ===> bin
- Run javaws.exe
- You'll see a list of java softwares
- Right click on CGoban3 and select "uninstall" or "delete"
- Close java web start
- Remove CGoban3 from the Windows Control Panel if it is still displayed there
For java 6 users:
- Click Start
- Click Run (or use the shortcut windows-R) then type javaws -viewer. Type that very carefully: the "-" is needed, and it needs a space before it and no space after it.
- This will launch the java application manager. You'll see a list of application, select the line where CGoban is displayed
- Right-click on CGoban line and select "uninstall" or "delete"
- Close java web start
- Remove CGoban3 from the Windows Control Panel if it is still displayed there
